s. ANDREW'S CHURCH SOIREE CAMBRIDGE.
The annual tea meeting and entertainment was held in the Public Hall on Tuesday evening, when tho juveniles assembled in great force, there being also a goodly numbor of adults. The tallies were provided by the following ladies: Mrs Boyce, assisted by Miss Plescher; Mrs Gletiny assisted by Miss Bright; Mrs Jas. Hally assisted by Mrs Dickenson ; Mrs Willis assisted by Miss Clark; Mrs Wills (two tables), assisted by Misses Clark and Bull. Pour bachelors Messrs Brtmskill, Moon, Porter and Ward also gave a table, at which the Misses Selby and liivcti presided. After full justice had been done to the tea, a Shakespearian reading was excellently given, the dramatis persona; being as follows: —Thesus, Mr W. S. Stewart; Lysander, Archdeacon Willis; Hippolyta, Miss R. Walker ; Quince (prologue), Dr. Moon; Snug (Lion), Mr H. Wilson ; Bottom (Pyratnus), Mr G. Shirley; Piute (Thisbe), Mr J. McVeigh ; Snout (Wall), Mr 11. W. Dyer; Starveling (Moon), Mr W. Hooper. A selection of music and songs was also given by the Misses Chambers and Hicks and Messrs Chambers, Knight and Ilartly. The meeting broke up at 0 p.m.
