[by telegraph—own correspondent. J Auckland, Friday. A man named Louis lJritton, a late arrival [ from London, was charged at tho Police Court to-day, with having 110 means of support, sentenced to one month's hard labour. A mother, her son and another lad were charged with receiving and stealing a diamond rin? valued £l. r >, and were committed for trial. Telegrams have passed between Hon. Mr Fisher and Mr H. W, Farnall, Secretary of the Tradesand LabourOouncil, relative to wages paid to railway porters in Victoria.
