(HV KI.KCTUIU TKLUOtAPH.—COrYItrGUT.) Sydney, May 10. A large number of forged £o notes on the Australian Joint Stock Bank are in circulation in tlie city. A youth natned Borthwick, belonging to the Auckland vessel Jessie, was accdentally drowned in the harbour today. The apparent drooping of the silver boom has caused an increased amount of interest in gold shares, and a boom in this stock is anticipated. The mutineers of the Thunderbolt threatened the lives of the captain and ollicers, and threw the ship's stores and deck fittings overboard. Adelaide, May 10. Advices from Mauritius as to the sugar crop are to the effect that it is one of the best for many years. Holders have re. dnced prices a fow cents upon last month's quotations. Mei-iioukni:, May 10. A goods train this afternoon ran into a temporary siding on the new line, near llotunga. and collided with a number of coal trucks and wrecked a building which was built over the line. Four waggons wero thrown off the rails, and the men on them had a miracnious escape.
