HAMILTON SALEYARDS.
TO THE KDITOIt. Silt,—l find it currently reported that the contractor for the Hamilton s.Ueyards is not progressing satisfactorily with his work, and that doubts exist as to whether the yards will be ready for Mr McNicol's sale on the Oth of May. I do not often pay much attention to what the man in the street says, but in this instance I think it my duty to give tho above mentioned rumours a distinct denial, as they must, if not contradicted, militate against thu success of the opening s:de. I beg leave to state that the yards will be ready on tho date advertised for the sale, and those who perhaps from interested motives are circulating adverse reports, simply know nothing of what they are talking about.—Yours &c, T. Cγ. Sandks, Engineer Hamilton Borough. Hamilton, April 27th, 1838.
