Notice is hereby given* that the Piako County Council did, at a special meeting held at Te Aroha, on THURSDAY, the 12th day of April, inst., make the following SPECIAL ORDER. " That in accordance with the pro- ] visions of "The Counties Act, ( 1886," and " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, this Council do now, by special order, make a SPECIAL RATE of ONE-TWELFTH of a PENNY in the £ over all rateable property within the ' Patetere Riding of the Piako County (exclusive of Crown and Native Lands) such rate to be an annually-recurring rate, payably half-yearly on the Ist day - of July and the Ist day of January in each year, the first of such payments to be made on . the Ist day of July, 188S, the said rate to be pledged as * security for the payment of interest accruing upon the sum of £1500, borrowed under the < provisions of the said " Government Loans to Local Bodies ' Act."
