— * The Waikiito Turns Office, Friday. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.— Horse-feed, grain, seeds: There has been no noteworthy change in the market, but some lines of oaten chalf have, changed hands at very low rates. Horses : There lias been increased activity in the market, and over an average number have changed hands at fully the previous week's values. There was a good muster at the Durham Yards on Friday, and good competition throughout the sale ; most of the lots were cleared, and there was a slight improvement iu prices, although value continuud in favour of tiie mirchaser, which was particularly noticeable in useful young horses, which sold at price unremunerative to the breeder. We quota hacks at from £."> 10s to £11; draughts from £8 tc» £1410s. Wool, hides, and skins : The quantity pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday. was not large, but there was a brisk demand. We quote ox hides at from 4d to 4jd per lb; cow, 2Jd to 3Jd ; calfskins, 4d to 5d per lb ; sheepskins, from 2s to 3s fid each. Cattle : The number brought forward has not been large, nor has the demand been brisk, and there wa3 a downward tendency in value. The Newmarket yards were but barely supplied on Tuesday, but an evident indisposition to purchase at the previous week's values was evinced, and prices for dairy stock were unaltered, but fat beasts receded in value from 5s to 10s per head, and for a few in indifferent condition even a shade lower was given. Sheep: There was a limited number penned at Newmarket on Tuesday, and the previous week's value was given. Lambs sold at Gs to 9s; wethers, from !)s to lis Gd ; ewes, from Ss to 10s. Pigs : An increased number were yarded, and were keenly competed for; good porkers from 2jd to 3.Jd per lb. live weight; rough pigs relatively lower. Mr Alkred Buckland's Weekly RePOBT. —At the Haymarket, during the past week, oaten sheaves have brought Is Gd to Is 9d ; meadow hay, Is 9d to 2s 3d the cwt; chaff, 3Gs to 42s the ton ; new oats, Is lid ; maize, 3s ; wheat, 3s ; rye grass, 3s to 3s Gd; cocksfoot, Gs ; hard fescue, 10s the bushel. On Friday, Aprilr 14, a large number of horses than usual were yarded ; useful unbroken medium draught ranged from £6 to £9 ; good workers, from £0 10s to £13 ; inferior, at nominal prices : a pha;ton, £21. At the hide and skin sale, on Tuesday, both hides and skins were yarded in full number ; late values were sustained ;ox hides brought up to ; cow hides, 3:fd ; calf skins, 5Jd the lb, or about 2Gs each for ox hides, 15s for cows', and 2s Gd to 3s for calf skins; tallow, 14s 6d the cwt; sheep skins, from Is 5d to 2s 8d each; Merino wool 8d the lb. At Polceno, on Monday, there was but ft small muster of cattle ; prices were moderate. At Drury, on Wednesday, a small muster of stock took place. Ordinary store cattle were without alteration in values, but dairy cattle were better worth. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in better demand, and advanced in price 10s each. Store cattle, in full numbers, were slow of sale, but all quitted at fully late values. Fat calves in unusual number, about 150 yarded, were lower in value. Fat cattlo in full numbers, but generally light weights sold bettor than last week, about 10s each. Prices ranged from 13s to 10 s the lOOtb. Sheep were also better worth about Gd each. A draft of wethers from the East Coast averaged 12s. Pigs in moderate number, were in brisk demand, particularly fat pigs from 1001b to 1501b each.

Stunuv, April 17.—Warrnambool potatoes are dull at 50s. Onions are Cos. New Zealand potatoes are GOs : maize, 2s 4d to 2s 5d ; oats are quoted at 2s 4d. The market is bare, and prices must decline on account of the low price rulin? for maize. Bran is firm, at Sd t > Bs'l. Pollard is firm at 9d ; chickwhent, 2s 8d ; milling sorts, 2s 5d ; cheese, 41, loaf-size, sd. Local butter has advanced to Is 3d, but the adyunee is only temporary.
