POLICY OF THE GOVERNMENT.
[By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] Adelaide, April 20, The Chief Secretary addressed the electors, and enumerated the Government policy. He mentioned it was intended to ask Parliament to sanction half a million loan. A bill will also be introduced, imposing a poll tax on Chinese in the Northern Territory, and to make it retrospective. A bill would also be introduced empowering the colony to join the Federal Council, to which the Chinese question would be submitted.
