Prices have kept very tirin, but our export trade, in view of the large surplus still remaining on hand, is of the most limited description, holders showing very little disposition to realise t the low prices ruling. Largo stocks are known to be held in tho country districts, but it is dillicult at the moment to arrive at a correct estimate of tho exact surplus of good shipping quality stiJl available for export, which is, however, placed at about 1-10,01)0 tons. The total quantity exported for Victmia since the commencement of the season amounts to 35,000 tons ; while Smith Australia has exported about 100,000 tons. Our latest cablegrams frnmjilie United Kingdom are still unfavourable to shippers, a further fall having taken place, and we can scarcely look for any large advance in value unless crop prospects in Europe and America should assume anunfavourable aspect. AVheat now rules for inferior parcels from 2s 10.1 to 3s per bushel, up to 3s ~M for shipping Jots, f.0.1). Oats are dull of sale from Is 10d to 2s for Calcutta; 2s 7d to 2* 9d for medium to stout. Barley: Good malting parcels are selling up to 5s id ; feed sorts, from 2s Oil to 3s. Peas realise 3s Bd, maize, 3s 3d ; and bmn 10d per bushel.
