" That in accordance with the provisions of " The Counties Act, 1886," and " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, ISSG, this Council do now, by special order, make a SPECIAL RATE of ONE-TWELFTH of a PENNY in the £ over all rateable property within the Patetere Riding of the Piako County (exclusive of Crown and Native Lands) such rate to be an annually-recurring rate, payably half-yearly on the Ist day of July and the Ist day of January in each year, the first of such payments to be made on the Ist day of July, ISBB, the said rate to be pledged as security for the payment of interest accruing upon the sum of £1500, borrowed under the provisions of the said " Government Loans to Local Bodies Act."
