In the local produce market, a change lias taken place in the price of both butter and i"j"s. The be*t dairy butter, owing to the largo arrivals from Taranaki, has receded to 7d per lb wholesale, and !)d per lb retail, while the shell brand remains at lOd per lb wholesale and Is per 11) retail. Eggs have advanced b-> is 3d per dozen wholesale, and Is (id per dozen retail. AUCKLAND LIVF, STOCK MARKETS. Mn Ai.ered Auckland's Weekly ReI'Oirr.—At the Hay market, during the past week, loose. foddcr"has(.btaine:l an iinprovement in value, and has ranged from Is Ixl to 2s !)d, the greater portion bringing 2s to 2s 3d per cwt; nuts, from Is lOd to 2s 2d: maize, 3s 4d the bushel ; potatoes, £2 to £2 5s the ton. Crass seeds and manures have also been sold in quantity. Ryegrass, from 3s to Ms lid ; Cocksfoot, (U the bushel ; chaff, from £3 to £3 10s the ton, At the horse sale, on Friday, April (!, the usual number were brought forward, and without alteration in values. Useful horses ranged from lIS to £15 each ; a choice draught colt, £20; an express waggon, £19 15s ; buggy, £0 7s (id : dray, £10, were the prices obtained. At tho hide and skin sale, nn Tuesday, hides, in full numbers, kept their previous values ; ox hides, froiri -Id to 4,Sd ; cows' hides, 3d to 3 ; idd the pound ; tallow, lls the cwt. ; sheep skins, Is -Id to 3s (Id ; lambs' skins, Is lOd each ; wool, CM to 7d tho pound. At the Waiuku cattle sale, store cattle were yarded plentifully, and prices well sustained. At Remuera, on Tuesday, dairy cattle wore scarcely represented ; store cattle, in moderate number, kept thdr price ; fat cattle, in full number, were] lower in value about 12s the 1001b; prices ranged from lis for fair cows to lis for good ox beef: fat sheep, abundant, and prices lower, ; 70 lb. wethers sold for 10s (id, or about V{t\ the pound ; lambs, in moderate supply, at last week's values ; calves, numerous, but mostly of inferior quality ; those sold at low p'ices, but wellfatted young calves sold satisfactorily ; store pigs were something lower in price, but fairly-fatted pigs maintained their values. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.— (train, seeds, horse feed, etc. : There has been a good supply, but slack demand. For horse feed and grain a little more has been doing in each at the previous week's values. Horses : Thare has been a little stir in the market; prices were a shade higher, and more sales were effected. Above an average number were entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday, and most of tho lots were cleared at an advance on the previo.is week, and there remained an unsatisfied enquiry for young, upstanding horses. Cattle: An improved demand existed. An average number having been brought forward, prices for dairy and fat stock advanced slightly. Both tho Newmarket and Pukeknhn Yards were fairly well filled ; competition was good throughout. Stores were unaltered in value, but there was an upward tendency in price for cows at their prolit. Well-fatted bullocks were 10s per head higher, but there was no advance in rough cattle. Sheep were in short supply nt Newmarket, on Tuesday. The previous week's prices were given. Lambs scarce. Figs: Few yarded. Values unaltered. Wool, hides and skins : About the usual number were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday. Sucars, up to £21 Adelaide, April 12.—Nothing is doing. In breadstull's the prices are unchanged. Brishane, April 12.—Now Zealand cheese, factory made, is 7d to 71d per lb. Some prime, lots wore forced on the market recently, and sold at a heavy loss. New Zealand bacon is KM.
