It is reported that the interview between the Empress and Prince Bismarck, in connection with the Chancellor's threat to resign on account of the projected betrothal of Prince Alexander to Princess Victoria, has resulted in a compromise being arrived at, obviating the necessity of the resignation of Prince Bismarck.
