RABBIT SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

——^—• On Thursday last, whilst rahbit shooting mi Mr Allan Scott's farm, Paterangi, two sons of Mr Seifiinens, of Oh:uip:>, had a narrow escape from a very serious accident. They were in company with a Mr Marshall, and the two lads referred to were lying down on the brow of a hill, when Mr Marshall fired at a rabbit goinpj in their direction. Both were pretty well peppered about tho face and shoulders. Fortunately their eyes escaped injury. Tho one most injured repaired to Dr. Pearman, at Te Awamutn, to get some of the shots extracted. In some cases the doctor decided not to attempt to get at the shots, as thn cutting would be very disfiguring to tho face, and tho pellets were not likely to cause any inconvenience.
