THE INUNDATIONS.
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. | Berlin, March 30. The inundation caused by the river Elbe was due to the breaking down of the banks of the river. Harrowing details continue to arrive of the sufferings and privations endured by the inhabitants of the territory affected by the recent Hood. It is now stated that fully 75,000 people have been rendered homeless, and property to the extent of 400,000,000 marks has been destroyed. Nearly the whole of the North of Germany has been affected by the disaster.
