THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.
The Now Zealand Commissioners have extended the date for receiving applications for space from proposing exhibitors to the 18th inst., and there is not the least possibility of there being any further renewal after the date mentioned. The Wellington Harbour Board Committee has granted the use of a portion of the woolshed on the Waterloo Quay as a depot for the receipt of exhibits in transit for the Centennial International Exhibition. The Melbourne Commission appointed the Committee of Juries and Awards on the 14th b'ebruary, consisting of Colonel Sargood, M.L.C. (chairman), Messrs W. M. K. Vale, James Munro, M.L.A., William Cane, Mayor of the city of Melbourne, and Lambton L. Mouatt, President Victorian Chamber of Manufactures. We are requested to give notice that all applications for motive power for working exhibits should be made forthwith to the Secretary for the Commission, No. 14, Lambton-quay, Wellington, and that owing to the labours of the jurors being very great from the mass of exhibits whioh they will have to examine during the holding of the exhibition, the minutest descriptions of exhibits are required, setting forth the leading features, otherwise the chief merits may be lost sight of at the time, and in the great hurry of examinatiou,
