THE PRICE OF WHEAT IN VICTORIA.
While farmers continue to work singlehanded they labour under many disadvantages, and have various grievances to sustain in consequence, most of which could be remedied if they acted in combination, in the manner of farmers in the United States. The complaint this time conies from Tarrangiunie, in the Wiinmera district, where wheat growers are dissatisfied with the prices offered, and a suspicion has arisen that there is collusion amongst the buyers, which is quite likely, and plainly points out to the farmers that the only remedy is for they themselves to unite, form societies or companies, and take the whole business into their own hands.— Melhourne Leader.
