Tilk (irst match between theso clubs was played last Saturday on tlio Hamilton ground, and was won by Cambridge by 2(5 iniiH-.i tlie first innings, time not allowing tin) match to be played out. Cambridge liM a strong team, whilst Taupiri had a Weak one. Cambridge batted first, and made 100. Park, 20; Wilson, 1(J; Longbottom, 14; 'Forrest, 13; Cnlvert, 12. Taupiri mado 80. Cox emitributing 215 by real good play, and Payne 10. In tlio Cambridge second inning- , , there was a collapse with the exceptions of Case, who made 33 by his usual hard hitting. He puzzled the Taupiri bowlers, but .succumbed to a soft one from Cox. In the bowling, Cox, King, and Stewart, of Taupiri, secured most wickets.
