It ia expected the Government will have completed the work of re organisation by the end of the week. The Dafence and Justice departmental changes are complete, and in the Lands and Mines Departments retrenchment is also well advanced. It is not anticipated that any retrenchment will be made in the Stock Department at present, as the Government consider it would be false economy to touch this important branch of the Sirvice. The Department in which the work of re organisation is behind is the Public Works Department. The Railway Department will not be touched in view of being handed over to the Hail way Commissioners as soon as the appointment ot a Chief ilommissioner h.is been decided upon. Two local Commissioners will be selected to act on the new Board.
