NO MORE MEDICINE. * Dr. Wilkins, the well-known Auckland medical practitioner, has published a little pamphlet on the uselessness of medicine, which everybody ought to read. It is entitled " The Curability and Treatment of all Diseases, Medical and Surgical (mainly) Without Internal Medicines." Speaking as laymen, we are bound to say that the little book seems to us to be full ot plain common sense. It lays it down as an axiom that Nature's efforts ever tend towards recovery, and that the work of the doctor is to assist and not retard these efforts by the administration of doses of noxious drugs, which, oven if they do effect the removal of the particular disoase treated, often produce something else as bad or worse. The method, adopted by Dr. Wilkins, as the result of study and experience, is to treat disease through the nerves, and he instances several cases to show how successful the treatment has been so far. Ho maintains that nearly all ailments are curable by this rational means, even such diseases as asthma and cancer. The pamphlet, which will well repay perusal, may be obtained at Messrs Kidd and Wildman's, Victoria Arcade,
