DEAD BODY FOUND,
|BY TELEGRAM.— OWN COltlttt-iI'OXDICNT.J Auckland, Monday. An inqneßt was held on Saturday at Whangarei, before Mr William Bellingham, and a jury of six, on the body of a man unknown, found on the'beach near Ngunguru, the body was exhumed, and the remains show that the man had been tall and thin with a very prominent forehead and sandy whiskers, hardly anything was left of hitu but bones, what fie-11 remained on the body was bleached quite hard by the sun. The presumption is the man was drowned off the coast about threo months ago. Tho beach is a very remote place and difficult to cot to, so no doubt the body came from the sea. A verdict was returned, " Found dead on the beach, there being no evidence to either identify the deceased or show by what means he came to his death." The body was then interred in a sandhill close by the spot where it was found.
