They show, in the aggregate, an increase in revenue in the receipts, but these favourable symptoms appear chieQy in the southern lines; the whole of the Auckland sections show a falling of?, Tho total revenue for the period is £02,137 againet £01,2u5, last year; the grand total to date being £75*.741 against £739,975 truths corresponding date last year. The Auckland section gives a return of 53.8-'0 passengers of both classes as against 59,075 during the same four weeks last year. On this suction, however, there was an increase in tiaG goods tralfic as a whole, the revenue from wlu'cl) was £9,555, against £9,007 last year.
