TE AWAMUTU AMATEUR THEATRICALS.

The second of the series of the Theatre Royal performances took place on the 30th January, of which, however, no notice has hitherto been furnished 11s. The tableau consisted of "The blind girl's dream," •'The vision of Queen Katherine," from Shakespeare's King Henry VIII. " Tit for Tat," and "The throe maids of Lee." It bein? the evening of the races and a public holiday the hall was crowded to excess. Many of the tableaux wore applauded to such an extent that it was found imperative to raise the curtain more than once, while nearly all tho songs were encored. The Theatre Royal company has now fully established its reputation, and by special request will on Friday 17th instant perform at Kihikihi; on which occasion fresh tableaux and new songs will be provided. The public taste iias keen most successfully catered for, and the social dance wjth which these entertainments conclude, tends to make the managcment|an!unqualified success. AtKihikihi the charge for admission will bo two shillings to all parts of the house, and light refreshments will bo bo provided. It is understood that 011 this occasion tho wishes and requirements of the residents of K'ihikilii will be specially eared for. -(Cumiuuucatecl).
