On Friday last loose fodder was supplied m limited quantities; prices were better and ranged from 2s 3d to -Is the cwt. Horse stock were plentiful, and at nominal values. At the special sale of Mr Leonard's stock there was a very numerous attendance. Horse stock sold at low values, and the, cows m milk at from £2 to £3 each. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, heavy hides were in demand, and ranged from MM to 0., d the lb; light hides, o.|d; lambs' wool, G'd to G-'| ! d the lb. At the usual monthly sale held at Pukekoho, the yards were well tilled, and a steady demand was found for all stock yarded. At Remuera on Thursday, a, moderate supply of stock mutwithan improved inquiry throughout the sale. 'Hairy cows at profit were in demand. Store cattle fully maintained late values. Fat. calves w-re in full number, and obtained an advance of Is the 1001b. Fat sheep and lambs were better fid to Is each ; pigs also shared in the improvement.
