D. & Co. have tipped the very core and attained the maximum of successful trading by placing their patrons, rank and file, to the front, or first position in accordance with the best prescribed laws that govern supply and demand. Remember our linn does not claim Hoary Age, Antiquity, or the possession of a portly set of Ledgers filled with bad debts. We disclaim all such surroundings ; but what we do claim are business Principles based on a system 1 that places the Consumer in the first place; enabling him to obtain the best value for his money together with the surety and knowledge that the actual maker of an article is in a better position to give him satisfaction than it he purchased through any other channel. THE NEW ZEALANDER TWINE BINDER. IN asking our friends to buy from New Zealand Makers, we would point out a few of the benefits which would accrue through so doiner. Duplicates would be easier got and generally cheaper; and from the facilities at our disposal—viz. , our branches in different parts of New Zealand,—-we can supply any parts of machines from any of these branches at ail hour's notice; other makers may, and do claim to be able to do this, but farmers find to their cost, and our experience bears them out, that it CANNOT UK DONE WITH HI POUTED MACHINES. We have known of cases where farmers with a broken down Imported Binder have had to wait a week during the busiest part of harvest time before they got supplied. Had such been a machine of our make, it would have been at work within a few hours. All parts of machines are numbered and accurately duplicated, and we challenge comparison with the best imported in that respect; and while asking farmers to purchase our Binder, we may state that it is now generally recognised that our machine is at least as g?n>d as the best imported, and much sui'Hitioit to many of them in every requisite of a serviceable Binder. Wa append a few of the many Testimonials received for our Binder; but the best Testimonial is the fact that last year no less than 43 were sold in one district alone. Te Rore West, Wad* a, Aug. 11, 1887. The Reaper and Binder 1 bought from you last harvest made very good work on all sorts of ground. I cut some very steep sidlings, the Binder sliding a foot at once, and at the same time cutting and binding a very neat sheaf. Isaac Hodgson. Centre Bush, March 27, ISB6. The Reaper and Binder I purchased froin you this season has given me entire satisfaction. I cut and tied 1-10 acres in 11 days, and made a really good job. She tied well and left a good clean stubble, although some of the crop was very lignt, and other parts of it were good. I consider your Binder quite equal to any of the imported machines, and .much lighter draught THAN SOME THAT WERE WORKING IN THE same paddock with me. I several times worked the same team of three hoises the whole day, although I had a spare team beside me. I had no stoppage from time of starting till I finished, and I am thorouguly satisfied that I have a really good and serviceable machine, and one that will last me a good many seasons. PEARSON, Hamilton East, Waikato. Waikato District Hospital, Hamilton, N.Z., 12th Nov., 1887. I have much pleasure in certifying to the value and powerful properties of Mr Pearson's Carbolic Sand Soap. It is extensively used in the wards and offices of the Waikato District Hospital. The carbolic acid contained in it acts as a perfect disinfectant, the sand auswers the purposes of a good cleansing agent, and the whole substances are blended together into firm cakes of a very convenient size and shape. For all domestic purposes I can strongly recommend Mr Pearson's Carbolic Sand Soap, as being a most effective and economical article, and in houses where enteric or other fevers exist it will be found especially useful, Geo. G. Kenny, M.8., &c., Surgeon Waikato Dist. Hospital. GRATEFUL—COMFORTING. EPPS'SCOCOA BREAKFAST. It is by the judicious use of such articles of diet that a constitution may be gradually built up until strong enough to resist every tendency to disease. Hundreds of subtle maladies are floating around us ready to attack wherever there is a weak point.
