Lady Cirrington will perform thu unveiling ceremony, which will bo one of the lirst Centenary proceedings. Her Majesty is represented in her royal robe? , , she wears the crown, and carries in cither hand the screptre and orb. The stalne is of bronze an:l is abuit 11 feet 6 inches in height. The figure is most imposing, and Mr Boehm Ims succeeded in getting a very good likeness of the Queen. The statue was too large to be made in one single casting and the body, head and arms were cast separately. The parts have been put together very skilfully, and it is impossible to detect, any flaw in tin , workmanship. The casting was 'lone at Mnor's foundry, Thames Ditton, and was witnessed by a couple of Australians It is complimentary to the sculptor and colony that the Queen preferred this statue to any other model submitted to her, and chose a replica of it for erection at Balmoral, Her Majesty is represented in a regal dress handsomely draped, with a long train embroidered with emblems of the rose, shainronk, and thistlo. On the breast are the ribbon and star of the Garter in the rieht hand is the eceptre pointing downwards, and in the left the Orb. On the head is placed an Imperial crown.
