On Monday 101U head were yarded to a very "nod attendance of town and country buyers, and the lots were cleared off at unaltered rates. To-day (Thursday) Tl:i.-, yarded, and in consequence of the heavy supply the in.irket gave way fully 10s per head. 'I he market was brisk upon the former occassion, but to-day, owing to the largo supply, prices gave way, the decline being greatest upon medium and inferior descriptions. We quote —Best wethers, i)s Gd to 10s ud ; good ditto, 7« lid to Ss (id ; others, from :>s up, Milch Cows: There was a very largo number in to-day, the attendance was good, but bidding, except for extra prime animals was dull. Wo quote—Best cows, £8 to £11 10s ; good ditto, £l> 10s to £7 10s; others, from £ 4 up. Calves: A moderate supply was forward and the market brisk, especially for prime small and medium sizes wo got very satisfactory figures lor 'a few small lots. We quoteLarge and prime, 40s to (ios; medium, 30s to 3os; Small, los to 2os. Lambs: The market was moderately slacker this week and prices a shade lower on all descriptions. We quote—best, 8s to 10s ; others, from 5s up. Pigs : The supply per rail and coast was smaller than usual and prices went extremely high for both fat and store pigs. The attendance of buyers at our sale yards to-day was very large and several had to go unsupplied. We quote—heavy, 3.W to 4d per lb ; medium, 4.W tood perlb'; light, ~>!A to Gd per lb ;
