THE BLENHEIM BUSHRANGER
* [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] Blenheim, Wednesday. The alleged sticking-np case at Birch Hill Station, which took place a fortnight ago, appears to be a, buna fide affair, although lately it was thought it had the appearance of ii hoax. Mounted Constable Dew scoured the country for two days without finding any trace of the supposed culprit. It was alleged that he entered the hut of a boundary rider named Anderson, stole some money, and fired a revolver at Anderson. A man, giving the name of John Gardiner, answering to the description sent to the police, wis arrested yesterday on the Builer Ruari by Constable Bowden, of Lyell. The accused will be remanded to Blenheim.
