The celebration ot the Centenary was commenced by the laying of the new wing of the St. Vincent and St. Paul Hospital by Lady Carrington. ' A most elaborate programme lias been arranged for this week, and amusements of all sorts take place each day. A large number of the members of the Opposition have declared against the proposed centennial banquet on the grounds of economy. The Russian warship Rvnda is expected here in time to allow the Prince onboard to share in the Centenary.
