THE KHEDIVE WIFE.
Tiik Khedive's wife is described by a lady who was admitted to her pruseneu as still yoimj!, a t most '2P> years old. She has an extremely charming face. Her whole appearance would he bewitching were she not an Oriental, and, therefore, young as she is, already too s;.out to be perfectly beautiful according to European notions. Sim has large, dark eyes, with long, heavy «y«-lashes, i dazzling complexion —to which art has contributed nothing—and tin; loveliest little mouth and teeth. Her neck and arms, as well as her smal! hands ylitterud with diamonds, and her dirk fashionably arranged hah - was cuircled with wreaths of precious stones; and yet, somehow, her toiiet seemed not overladen. On the left side of her white surah dress, whose long trail was completely covered with rich lace she wore a broche of fresh oramre leaves and white roses, and below it a miniature of the Khedive set in diamonds. On a little table lay her golden tabatiere with the signature of Ab.lul Aziz in diamonds, and a large fly flip of ostrich feathers, whosehandle glittered and sparkled with the slightest motion.
