TE AROHA.
Town Valuation.—The valuers appointed liy the Town Board have duly completed their task, and the. list will forthwith be open for inspection at the office of the Board. Watkk Sitply.—A meeting of the committee appointed at the last regular meeting to consider the question of water supply for the town was held ■m Monday evening. The matter was discussed for some time, but in the absence of two of the members it was decided to adjourn the meeting till next Monday evening, so that there might be a full attendance. Hand of Horn.— On Monday evening a very pleasing entertainment in connection with the Band of Hope was given in the Wesleyan Church, the Rev. S. Ltiwry presiding. A number of songs and readings were well rendered by members of the organisation, and interesting addresses were delivered by the chairman and Mr West, of the Thames. There was a large attendance, and the whole of the proceedings passed otf most successfully. Gkohuif. Smitiiso.w — Miss Georgie Smithson with her company gave two performances in the Public Hall on Saturday and Monday evenings, but on neither occasion was the audience so numerous as might have been expected, considering the reputation of the troupe.
