Auckland, Honda y Night. At the exchange to day, business was rather slow in milling stock, but tliero was a very fair feeling in some of the other investment shares. South British Insurance shares were in demand at !Ws and New Zealand as (i7s. Sales were effected in New Zealand at that figure. Gas shares were asked for at £10 12s l»d. Bank of New Zealand shares are a little easier, and are quoted at £11 17s Bd. In mining, sales are asked in Saxons at Us 7d, Paroquets, at 5s 10d and Gs ; and Trontons at 2s Bd.

Messrs Samuel Cochrane and Sons put up to-day, some land in the Waikato district, but no business was done. The prices offered being insufficient.
