Horse stock was plentiful, hacks brought from £-1 to £10: a good buggy horse, £M 10s. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, ox hides sold at Hid to 4;fd the lb ; cow hides, 3,1 d ; calfskins, from Id to 5d tho lb ; skin, from 2s lOd to ns. At the wool sale on Wednesday late values wore fully sustained. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle were in moderate supply, and late values, store cattle at lower values; fat cattle were also lower in price than on Thursday last; cows were from 10 s to 12s ; steers, 14s tho 1001 bs, with a dull sale ; fat wethers wen; slightly better worth, but ewes wore lower in price; lambs; unusually plentiful, were uniformly lower, about 2s each ; pigs abundant, good factory pigs maintained their value, and all descriptions sold well, taking tho number yarded into account. At tho sale of the thoroughbred horse stock, held at the Harp of Krill, Kllcrslio, Foul Shot was purchased by Mr Robertson for (la guineas, Man Friday by Mr D. O’Brien for 50 guineas. Mn.-i.SHS Hu.NTKR AM* NOLAN’S REPORT.— Horses : A large number were brought forward, hut the demand was slack and sales were limited at the previous week’s values. There was a large number of entries for sale by auction at the Durham yards on Friday, but bidding was slow, and in several instances reserves could not bo reached, and throughout prices ruled in favour of the purchaser. Wool, hides and skins: Hides and skins were in rather limited quantities. The demand was steady at the previous week’s rates. The second wool sale of the season was held at the Durham T arris mi Wednesday. A slight advance was given, but for other descriptions unaltered ns compared with the previous sale. Cattle have scarcely been brought forward in usual numbers, but were ample for requirements. The Nowmaket yards were well filled on Tuesday, competiton was steady, but the expectation of vendors were lint seldom obtained, and tho previous week’s values but rarely given, although tho decline was scarcely perceptible. Sheep were again yarded in very short numbers at Newmarket im Tuesday, and wore of rather inferior description, 10s lid being the highest price, for wethers.
