Parthenopaeus, by the celebrated Traducer, out of Atalanta. Atalanta by Tow’ton out of Crescent, by Sir Hercules out of Moth by Camel. Towton—own brother to The Peer—by Melbourne, out of Cinizelli, by Touchstone by Camel. Atalanta has been one of the most successful performers on the New Zealand turf. At four years old won the Oamaru J.C. Handicap and ran second to Glengarry in the Dunedin J.C. Handicap ; at five years won the Free Handicap at Christchurch; at Timaru won South Canterbury J.C. Handicap, Tradesman’s Handicap, and Forced Handicap ; at six years won a number of races, including Handicap at Dunstan.
