WAITOA.
Meeting ok Road Boahd.—The usual monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board was hold last Saturday. Present; Messrs W. P. Chepmell (chairman), H. Burnett, J. Horrcll, J. H. Rowe and S. Scddnii, The Engineer reported that he had re-let Glassford’s road cutting. It was considered that more than a thousand yards would rocpiire to ho taken out to make anything like a docent job. It was decided to make the road passable even should other five thousand yards have to be taken out. Tho Engineer reported that the Cemetery Road job was finished, and also the one on the Richmond Road near Turnbull’s. A good deal of conversation took place regarding a number of winks in various parts of tho district, for which the Engineer was instructed to call for tenders. It was reported tiiat Mr McGlashan had taken down the slip rail arrangement with bags complained of, and put up a gate.
