Various plans were discussed, and it was found that 5.000.00 dollars would be necessary to build the University, and provide it with proper endowments. A sum of 700,00U dollars has already beeu obtained. The theological department will be first open-si, under the charge of the Order of Si. Sulpice. Work will begin this autumn. Bishop Keene was elected the lies', rector.
