Cattle: Aline an average number of all desciipti'ms have linen brought forward, and found purchasers without any material alteration in value as compared wirli thu previous week. The, Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, and the i’nkekohe Yards on Thursday were well tilled ; a largo number of both fat and store cows were yarded, and changed hands. More fniivn steers, if well-tired and in fresh condition, would have found purchasers, and there was also an nnsatislied demand for well grown calves of both sexes. Reef was slightly lower in value than on the previous week. Sheep : Bess than the usual number were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, but some of the fat shorn wethers wore of exceptionally Rond quality, and sold at from Ills to Ms each; wethers in wool sold at from Jos (id to Pis ; ewes, from 10s to Ms. Lambs : Plentiful, sold at from Os to 11s. Pigs were scarce, and of coarse description; no noteworthy alteration in value. Mr Alfred Bucklaxo's Weekly KeI’OHT.—At the Ilaymarket on i'Tiday last, the supply of loose fodder was less than usual. Trices ranged from Is !M to Us .‘id the cwt; chaff, by sack, Js ad to Is '.ld; grain sold freely —oats, from Us Ud to Us Id ; maize, 3s Od the bushel. A full muster of horse stock sold at late values. An unbroken colt brought £l3 i)s, and useful buggy horses from i'll to £IU. At Wainkn on Saturday there was a much larger sale than usual, and all s ild at satisfactory prices. On Tuesday, at the hide and skin •ale, ox hides sold at Id to l;M ; cow hides, 3d to 3jjd ; calfskins, hid to fid ; sheepskins, from 3s Od to os each ; lambskins, Is Od ; pelts, -Id to lid. At lieimiera, on Thursday, dairy cows were in usual supply, and were a little bettor worth. A large number of store cattle yarded, with little demand, all sorts being lower than last week. Tat cattle, in short supply, were rather lower than last Thursday. Sheep and lambs plentiful, and freely maintained their late values. No alteration in pigs or calves.
