The Hallway Reform League met at Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon to take into consideration the proposals contained in the Financial Statement to create, non-political boards to assist ami advise the Department in the management of the lines in the principal districts of the colony. The following resolution, moved by Capt. McPherson and seconded by Mr A. Primrose, was carried unanimously :—“ That the Government be requested, in constituting the non-political railway board, to give a fair representation to the county districts, and in the case of the Auckland Board to make it an instruction that a trial of at least three years bo given to Mr S. Yaile’s railway system on the Auckiand-Waikato lino under the supervision of Mr Vailo himself.”
