INCREASE OF THE TURKISH ARMY
[I‘KESS ASSOCIATION-! London, November 7. A scheme of Turkish military reform will be effected by Goltz Pasha, lion, aide-de-camp to the Sultan, The army will be remodelled, aud its effective strength raised to over 1,000.000. The cavalry will be considerably increased, and military service made compulsory on all the Mussulman population in Turkey, except those resident in Constantinople.
