MURDER AT CHRISTCHURCH.

Three Kussian Finns working at Coop's Saw-mill, were at Lake Forsyth Anns Hotelibinking and singing, after which they quarrelled, but wen; paeilied by a half ea-te named George Hohinson. They then went out i n the verandah. Some little lime after, mm of the Finns was found lying on the verandah, with another named Jacobsen in the act of walking away. On examination the linn was discovered to be dead and covered with wounds, having been stabba-d to the heart. The alarm was given and George Kuhins.ii, jumping mi Us horse started in pursuit of -h.-h.g Finn and overtoik him anm; i'O v ~1- fr-iu the hotel. He threw bin. and li .and him and the others corning up. tii- pii-ouer was taken and locked up. Ain - -uger went in tu Akaroa and C -n-t iV- Cr. e!:el went up the river. The other Finn was also captured.
