Finn.— I The residence of Capt. Lindsay was totally destroyed by fire at about 2 a.m. yesterday. The greater portion of the furniture and personal effects were saved, but injured in the act of hasty removal. Captain Lindsay was away from homo at the time of the calamity. The property was insured for about £7OO. Some man, whose name wo have not ascertained, received some severe injuries on Ids head at the fire. He came to Hamilton and had his wounds dressed at. the Hospital by Dr. Kenny, the house surgeon.
