RUFFIAN ELECTORS.
Tut; conduct of the Linwood electors at Mr Reese’s meeting was of the most disgraceful character. It was evident from the outset that the proceedings would be disorderly, as a number of larrikins had got possession of part of the building and wore dispersed about the hall. They wore provided with extraordinary supplies of rotten eggs and dead rats. Indeed, the number of rodents thrown on the stage was so great, and their decomposition was so far advanced, that regularlyorganised rat hunts must have been going on for weeks previously. As if the pestiferous odour of rats and eggs was not enough, assaliclida was also brought into use.—lt can hardly ho wondered at that tin; Col-my is going to Die dogs when votes arc placed in the hands of such rabble as tills. Exchange.
