The Samples vcrc taken from the Springs, as numbered, the emperatures of which ranged from 105degs.to l‘Jde;s. Fahr; — Sulphate of Lime Sulphate ol magnesia Sulphate of potash Sulphate of soda Chloride of sodium fi-carbonate of soda Carbonate of ammonia "arbonatc of iron Carbonate oflithia .’hospbatc of soda Phosphate of alumina Silica Sulphuretted hydrogen total solid matter Results expressed in grains per gallon, fhese Waters arc all feebly alkaline and strongly rharged with carbonic acid gas, which is contantly escaping from the Springs in large quanities. The Lithia, a valuable constituent of hese Waters, is present in an appreciable quanity. The Analyses show these Springs to be •ery similar in composition. These Mineral kVatcrs are exceedingly interesting,* and will >rovc of great value medicinally. They closely esemble some of the European Mineral Springs o justly celebrated, more especially those of /ichy, Ems, and Fachlngen.
