Sheep; But few arrived coastwise, and the supply was ratlu-r limited, with a slightly upward tendency in value. A good many mere would have found room and jmrehasors at Newmarket on Tuesday. No heavy weights were penned, but 17s (id was obtained fur medium wethers. Ewes sold at from 8s to Ids lid. Lambs wore in sufficient numbers, and snld at from 5s !)J to 13s lid each. Tigs; But few yarded ; porkers worth 31d per lb live weight, but low conditioned stores were cheap. Horse stock, yarded in usual numbers, were dull of sale, but good animals maintained their values. The country cattle sales, held respectively at J’okeno and Drury, were more folly supplied with store cattle than for some months; the stock generally are in low condition, and cows in calf are worth but little. There is good competition for steers of all classes, but particularly for grown steers of fresh condition. At U-Miiuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were fairly competed for ; store cattle numerous, but in low condition, jn-icos ruled low; yearling steers, from lbs to 255; two-year-old steers, from 30 to 35; three-year-old steers, (0s to 50s ; yearling heifers, 10s to 15s; two-year-olds, 255; three-year-olds, 25s to 35s each, with a duU sale. Fat calves, in equal numbers, sold briskly. Eat cattle, better worth, about 15s each—prices ranged from 18s to 20s per lOOlbs. Eat lambs, in moderate number, were in demand at from 8s to 11s each, and sheep worn better worth about 2s. Good wethers brought Ids lid. Few pigs yarded.
