Most of the tobacconists and fruiters in this city, who have been in the habit of transacting business on Sundays, have lately received visits from policemen in plain clothes, who have purchased small quantities of their goods. Informations for Sunday Trading have been laid against no less thad 110 of these dealers who will be summoned to attend the magistrates court within the next two or three days, to answer infringinents of the provisions of the Police Offences Act, that relates to Sunday Trading. No loss than three patients died at the asylum on Saturday and yesterday. The deaths resulted from natural causes in each instance. They were all men, and none had been in the hospital any great length of time.

Tlie Premier of Victoria has telegraphed to Sir R. Stout, asking him to afford facilities for disseminating information in Xew Zealand respecting the Centennial Exhibition in Melbourne. The (iovermncnl have replied, stating that they will give every opportunity for doing so pending the decision of Parliament, as to Xew Zealand's representations at the Exhibition.
