WARNING TO THE REV. SHIRLEY BAKER.

[press association. I London, September 1. In answer to a question in the House of Commons, Sir Henry Holland said the Government strongly disapproved of the Rev. Shirley Baker’s conduct in Tonga, and the Colonial Office would in future closely watch the Tougan reports. Mr Baker would be warned that if his influence led to the ill-treatment of the Tongans, ho would be deported.
