'OJTHEIIEAS the land mentioned in v v the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “ Thu Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of an approach-road to the Panin River Road Bridge, Provincial District of Auckland ; And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration required by the said Act and the amendments thereof : Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, ISS2,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the flew Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the, purposes of the construction of the said road. SCHEDULE. The several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder : All in the Provincial District of Auckland ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14493, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in tiic Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured pink. Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, LieutenantGeneral in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same ; and issued under thejSeal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven. Now, therefore, I, Edward Richardson, the Minister for Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby appoint the Public Works Office at Wellington, to be the public office at which persons having any estate or interest in any lands taken aajaforesaid, or injuriously affected by the said Proclamation, or suffering any damage in respect of such lands from the exercise of the powers given under the said Acts shall serve their claims, pursuant to “The Public Works Act, 1882, and its amendments.
