Received August 26th, 1.30 p.m. PROTEST OF STOCK OWNERS Sydney, August 26. A protest has been made against the removal of the restrictions on importation of stock to New South Wales.
A FUGITIVE HUSBAND. Sydney, August 26.
In the appeal case, Joseph Counsel (sic), in reference to the Fugitive Offenders Act, New Zealand, a full Court decided that the appellant should enter into a bond to comply with the terras of the Now Zealand order.
DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. Sydney, August 26.
An extensive fire occurred last night in the premises of Messrs Wallace and Go., Clarence-street. The damage is estimated at £IO,OOO.
