BULGARIAN AFFAIRS.
(PRESS ASS< STATION.) London, August 23. Prince Ferdinand explains, iu reference to his recent utterances on the freedom of llulgaria, that he did not intend to imply the political independence of that country. The present Ministry have been requested to remain in power, owing to the other leaders declining to take oflico. Eussia is urging Iho Porte to directly interfere in the election of Prince Ferdinand to the Bulgarian throne. Sofia, August 22. The French diplomatic agent here has also broken off relations with the Bulgarian Government.
