Brisbane, August 10. The Hon. MrDickson, Colonel Treasurer, has resigned, owing to a disagreement with his colleagues on the question of additional taxation, which he considers unnecessary.

He had an enthusiastic reception, and received a hearty vote of thanks. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The University Council contemplate the establishment of an operating theatre for the use of medical students.
