MASSACRE IN NEW GUINEA.

The missionary schooner Ellangown has arrived at Townsville from Port Moresby. Captain Hennes confirms the news that a Tanaki native teacher, his child, and three others were killed at Motu Motu by Morinians, who are at enmity with the Motuans. The Morini.ans came upon Tanaki and party in canoes in great numbers, and fired a big flight of arrows, sticking eight into Tanaki, seven into his wife, and two into his child, and killing three of Tanaki’s companions, as well as himself and child. His wife survived. An expeditionary force sent by Mr John Douglas, the Special Commissioner, crossed the river and killed 11 Moriniaus.
