We draw particular attention to the advertisement in this issue from Mr W. A. Graham, calling a public meeting of fanners to be Held at Ohaupo on Tuesday, 23rd instant, tor the purpose of laying before them a valuable amount of information he has collected on the subject of sugar-beet cultivation. This is a subject, as is well-known, that has occupied Mr Graham’s attention for some years, and which he has pursued with a zealous interest, and a strong hope of seeing the culture adopted by Waikato settlers as a settled and lucrative industry. He has been to considerable trouble in collecting data, and we feel sure the address he purposes delivering will be one of great interest and use to settlers who may entertain a desire to engage in beet cultivation. We hope, therefore, to see a large attendance to hear Mr Graham.
